I love lists! I love creating them, crossing them off and recreating new ones. I’ll admit some things on the list get crossed off immediately and others appear over and over. Those that do tend to fall in two categories. The things that aren’t really important to me or the things that will take a lot of work and dedicated effort. Writing The Night the Pillow Pop was of the later group. It took me 27 years from idea to final publication. 27 years of appearing on my bucket list and 27 years of living in the back of my brain.
But now it’s in the forefront. And I love it. For it has created so many Joy Bubbles: feeling accomplished, reconnecting with many, grammar school speaking engagements and opportunities to help others launch their own book creations.
“Sometimes the original joy you seek ends up being small in comparison to what you ultimately experience.”
